LetterBoxing

I was just introduced to this fun activity! Apparantly, letterboxing has been around for years and is very popular. It's a great family activity and I can't wait to start! Here's the basics:

There are over 20,000 letterboxes hidden in the US alone. There are TONS in Utah! You pick a "Trail name" for yourself and/or your family and also a handmade or manufactured rubber stamp to represent yourselves. You also need a notebook and pen. You go online to the website and pick a letterbox to find. You will be given clues that will guide you to it and it is your job to find it. Some are hidden in public parks and others are hidden on hiking trails (there's one at Stewart Falls, etc...) When you find one (and some are well hidden), you will see inside a stamp and a notebook. You stamp your notebook with the stamp inside and stamp the box's notebook with your stamp, then sign and date it.

After you have found some letterboxes, you can create your own! You pick where to hide it (must be publicly accessible) and then go online and create clues for others to find it!
